E-STATEMENTS -- Frequently Asked Questions

What is an e-statement?
GPO is pleased to offer members electronic statements. This is simply an electronic version of the paper statement that members currently receive via regular mail. Members may view and print their e-statements right from their computer.

Who can receive e-statements?
E-statements are currently available through e-PAT, GPO’s on-line banking program. If you currently are signed up for e-PAT, you may access your electronic statement. If you do not have access to e-PAT, contact a member service representative to get signed up for this convenient, free service.

Do I have to sign-up for e-statements?
No, it is a convenient option for many members. However, if you prefer to receive a regularly mailed statement, do nothing and GPO will send you a statement via the US Postal Service.

How do I sign up for GPO’s e-statements instead of paper statements?
Through e-PAT, click on the e-PAT option and sign-in. From there click on “Services” and check “E-Mal Preferences.” At this point, enter your e-mail address (where you want an e-mail statement reminder sent). Then, check the box indicating “Send Member Statements Via E-Mail.” A disclosure will pop up – read through it and check “agree.” It’s that easy – an e-mail reminder will be sent to you each month notifying you that your statement is available on e-PAT.

When will I receive my GPO e-statement e-mail notification?
GPO will send you an e-mail shortly after the end of the statement period.

Will my GPO e-statement look the same as my paper statement?

Is my statement information secure?
Yes, as is the case with everything traveling through the Internet, security is of utmost importance. Even statements being mailed via the postal system have their own set of security concerns. This is why GPO has elected to only notify you via e-mail that your statement is available and ready for retrieval. The e-mail will not contain any secure, confidential information. Your e-statement is available only through our secure e-PAT on-line banking system.

Will I be able to print my statement?
Yes, you will be able to print your GPO e-statement.

How long will my GPO e-statement be available?
You will be able to view statements going back 13 months.

Can I have my GPO e-statement notification sent to more than one e-mail address?
The e-mail notification can be sent to the one e-mail address we have in our system for your account.

What happens if I change my e-mail address?
In order to continue receiving your GPO e-statement notification, you need to notify us of your e-mail address change. This may be done by going into e-PAT and clicking “E-Mail Preferences” under the “My Service” icon.

How long will it take to set up my GPO e-statement option?
Once you have agreed to the disclosure, you are automatically set up and you will receive an e-mail reminder with the next statement cycle.

Who should I contact if I don’t receive an e-statement notification?
Call any credit union member service representative. If we don’t have your correct e-mail address, you won’t get a reminder.

How do I cancel my GPO e-statement?
To cancel this option, you may go to “E-Mail Preferences” and check the box indicating that you would like a mailed statement. If statements have already cycled, you may have to wait an additional month before you receive a mailed copy.

Can I have multiple statements sent to the same e-mail address?
Certainly, however, you must have signed up for e-PAT for all those account relationships.
