Walking with Heart: Team GPO Raises $2,500 for the American Heart Association

Supporting the wellbeing of the communities we serve is an important part of what it means to be GPO. This year, our team proudly took part in the America’s Greatest Heart Run & Walk, a longstanding local tradition dedicated to advancing heart health and lifesaving research through the American Heart Association.
In the days leading up to the event, excitement built across our team as staff rallied together in support of the cause. From fundraising efforts to preparing for the weekend’s events, Team GPO was ready to show up and walk with heart.
Bringing Financial Wellness to the Healthy for Good Expo
The weekend kicked off at the Healthy for Good Expo, where GPO had the opportunity to connect with community members and share resources focused on financial wellness.
Visitors who stopped by our table were invited to take part in our interactive “Putting Toward Your Financial Goal” activity, a fun way to highlight how small, consistent steps can help people move closer to important financial milestones. The activity sparked great conversations about financial wellbeing and how managing money confidently can support overall wellness.
Rallying Together for a Cause
Behind the scenes, Team GPO was also hard at work raising funds for the American Heart Association. Employees and supporters contributed through both monetary donations and chocolate bar sales, helping to build momentum leading up to the walk.
Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our team and community supporters, Team GPO raised more than $2,500 to help support the American Heart Association’s mission to fight heart disease and stroke.
Team GPO Hits the Pavement
When walk day arrived, Team GPO gathered together before the start, energized by the incredible turnout from organizations, families, and individuals across the community.
The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and purpose as participants took to the route, walking side by side in support of heart health. For Team GPO, it was a meaningful opportunity to stand alongside so many others committed to making a difference.
