Apply for a GPO's 2027 Scholarships!

GPO Federal Credit Union, in partnership with the New York Credit Union Association (NYCUA), is offering high school seniors the chance to win up to three college scholarships!

GPO is awarding three GPO members scholarships of $1,500, $1,000, and $500. In addition, applicants for GPO's scholarships are automatically eligible for NYCUA's statewide scholarships, which include awards of up to $1,250. Students will also be considered for scholarships through the Utica-Rome Chapter of Credit Unions, with additional awards available totaling up to $1,750.

GPO's 2027 Scholarship Opportunities are now available!

GPO scholarships are open to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a 2–4 year accredited college or university, or an accredited trade or vocational school. Applicants must be members of GPO and in good standing at the time of application.

Steps on how to apply:

  • Register to apply online here
  • Verify eligibility by obtaining the Credit Union Verification Code. Do this by calling GPO’s Member Service Center, or stopping into a GPO branch during normal business hours
  • The Certification and Release Authorization on the last page of the application must be signed by the student and a parent/guardian
  • Obtain two separate PDF files to upload in the application:
    • High School Transcript
      • PDF file saved as “Last Name, First Name Transcript
    • Typed Essay
      • PDF file saved as “Last Name, First Name Essay”
