GPO Celebrates the 2024 Solar Eclipse

The 2024 solar eclipse is a highly anticipated celestial event that will captivate skywatchers across North America. On April 8th, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be visible from parts of Mexico, the United States, and Canada.
During a total eclipse, the Moon passes between the Sun and Eart's surface. As a result, the Sun appears completely blocked, revealing the Sun's outer atmosphere, known as the corona. It's a breathtaking phenomenon that reminds us of the vastness and beauty of our universe.
How did we celebrate?
No party is complete without delicious treats! We had eclipse-themed cookies that had chocolate frosting and yellow sprinkles around them to represent that moon passing by the sun. This was a fun twist on the well known and loved half-moon cookie! We also had designated viewing areas with solar eclipse rated viewing glasses to safely enjoy the experience.
Today we brought in the cosmic vibes to the workplaces and celebrated the solar eclipse in style! It was a fantastic opportunity to bond with colleagues and appreciate the wonders of the universe!
