For the past nine years, What the Truck has become a popular spot on a Tuesday night during the summer. Each week various food trucks come together in one spot to serve all kinds of food. As the event grew it became a favorite amongst the community because of it family-friendly environment and outside entertainment. It’s now known as a summer staple in Central New York.
What the Truck is an exciting event that brings together a delicious array of mobile eateries in one place. This event offers a unique culinary experience where you can sample a variety of dishes from different cuisines conveniently from the food trucks in one place.
‘What the Truck? Utica’ is a foodie’s paradise, where everyone can find something, from burgers, tacos, specialty desserts, all on wheels! You can expect live music, seating, games, and a vibrant atmosphere that add to the overall experience.
If you’re looking to explore Utica’s culinary scene in a fun and casual setting, attending What the Truck can be a fantastic way to discover new flavors and support local food vendors and restaurants.
What the Truck is every Tuesday until August 13 from 4-8pm at 215 Leland Ave, Utica, NY 13502.

Throughout the What the Truck season, GPO and CNYKiss teamed up to run a FUN contest! You can win Stathis food truck AND music from Kiss FM in your neighborhood or at your office.
How do you win?!
- Take a picture with the GPO cutout at What the Truck, post it to social and tag GPO and CNYKiss
- Search for Penny the Pig at What the Truck (she will be visiting ALL of the trucks!), when you find her, visit the front table to fill out a form
Full Details:
* One winner will receive a two-hour party with KISS-FM playing music and the Stathis Food Truck to serve up to 60 people. Depending on Food Truck Availability the dates range from August 14th, 2024 – August 30th, 2024. The winner can decide to have the truck show up at their workplace or neighborhood within a 20-mile radius of Utica, NY. Winner must be following GPO Federal Credit Union and KISS-FM on social media. *
1. Must 18 or older to participate.
2. Employees of GPO and CNYKiss and their families are not eligible.
